SCI Students Shine at International German Forum in Berlin

Two final year students at the School of Computing and Informatics excelled at the Hacking  for Global Health hackathon during the 3rd International German Forum held in Berlin in February 2017. Barke Said and Harun Kimani emerged second best in a competition that saw students from India, Canada, UAE, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya and German participate. The forum was hosted by none other than the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The goal of the hackathon was to develop digital solutions to promote health and prevent diseases among children and adolescents and was organized the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. The travel grant was provided by the GIZ.

We congratulation Barke and Harun for competenlty representing the country at such high level international forum.
