International Women's Day 2018 at the School of Computing and Informatics. On Saturday 21st April 2018 Women Techmakers Nairobi in partnership with Google Developers Group Nairobi Hosted the IWD Extended event at the school. We had speakers from Google

and also from other key industry players in Kenya and Africa. One of the speaker was Christina Lin​ - Product Marketing Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa- Google and Aniedi Udo-Obong​ - Program Manager, Developer Ecosystem for Sub-Saharan Africa The speakers were invited to speak on several topics such as: 1.New opportunities in STEM. 2.Trending Technologies and how to use them eg. Data Science, Machine Learning (Tensorflow),Flutter,Internet of Things, Progressive Web Apps, among others. 3.Personal Branding. We had a panel discussion in the end which allowed participants to ask further questions and follow up.
