UoN Hosts UNIHUBS International Training to Advance Digital Innovation in Higher Education

Universities are increasingly being challenged to prepare graduates for the demands of the digital economy. Through the Erasmus+ UNIHUBS project, educators and innovation practitioners from Africa and Europe gathered at the University of Nairobi to explore new ways of integrating digital innovation and entrepreneurship into university education.

Call for Applications: AFAS Master’s Fellowships

The African Climate and Environment Centre – Future African Savannas (AFAS) is inviting applications for 18 fully funded Master’s fellowships.

Successful candidates will study at the University of Nairobi or Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny and undertake interdisciplinary training and stakeholder-oriented research focused on climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in African savannas through Nature-based Solutions (NbS).

Thematic areas: Water, Agriculture, Energy, One Health and Biodiversity.

University of Nairobi Hosts EASY-ML 2025

The East-African School for Young Researchers on Advanced Machine Learning Techniques (EASY-ML 2025) officially opened at the University of Nairobi on July 9th, marking a significant milestone in interdisciplinary research training in Africa. This prestigious two-week residential program, running from July 9 to 22, brings together 40 early-career researchers and postgraduate students 30 from Kenya and 10 from neighboring countries spanning diverse fields such as physics, biology, chemistry, geosciences, and economics.
