12th International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week of Action (ILPPWA)

The University of Nairobi led by the Department of Chemistry will join the rest of the world to mark the 12th International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week of Action (ILPPWA) marked on October 20-26, 2024. . The UoN has played a lead role in the advocacy and awareness of Lead Poisoning Prevention for the past 13 years. As part of the Activities for the #ILPPWA2024 through a multi-sectoral committee led by the Government through the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment and other partners.
1. The UoN will host a Research Week pre- event on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the UoN, Main Campus , UoN Towers, LT 302
2. On October 24, 2024, the UoN will host a high-level Award Ceremony in Taifa Hall
3. On Friday, an Awareness Walk from Chancellor's Court, October 25, 2024
