The first School of Computational Techniques for Physics Students in Kenya (SCoTeP-K) will be held at University of Nairobi, Chiromo Campus, from June 17th to 21th, 2024. It aims to enhance the programming and computing skills of physics students in Kenya.

A five-day programme will be delivered by distinguished Kenyan and foreign physicists and computer scientists on the following topics:

UON Hosts Groundbreaking Computational Techniques Workshop for Physics Students (SCoTeP-K)

The University of Nairobi's Chiromo campus recently hosted the inaugural School of Computational Techniques for Physics Students in Kenya (SCoTeP-K) from June 17-21, 2024. This landmark event, a collaborative effort between the Department of Physics and the Department of Computer Science, was designed to equip Kenyan physics students with advanced computing skills to bolster research in key national priority areas of science, technology, and innovation.

Samson Lokwakai Wins Prestigious McCall MacBain Scholarship

Mr. Samson Ekeno Lokwakai, an alumnus of the Department of Physics, is one of 10 global recipients of the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
