A Linux event will be bolstered by internationals from the Netherlands. Best-selling author, independent trainer and consultant, Sander Van Vugt together with Robert Charles Muchendu co-lead and organizer of the Living Open Source Foundation Kenya, Pieter Izeboud CEO of ITGilde, Pascal Van Dam a very senior Linux Instructor with a Focus on Advanced Linux Topics, Christopher Peeters a Linux Instructor with a Focus on Ansible and Kubernetes, together with other delegates: Serene Ma, Alex Van Vugt, and a Zambian National Santos Venter Chibenga are coming as representatives of the Living Open Source Foundation.

This will be the first time they will be coming to Kenya, venue: University of Nairobi Chiromo, Campus School of Computing and Informatics, off Waiyaki Way, Nairobi Kenya,

Their main purpose is to introduce Living Open Source Foundation Kenya, with the mission of promoting the use of Free Open Source software (FOSS) and innovative educational programs.

The three (3) day training event, participants will be trained on different System Administrator topics and more advanced topics such as:

  • Kubernetes and Containers,
  • Ansible Tower IT Automation Fundamentals
  • Linux High Availability and Linux Performance Optimization

During this event, participants will receive free training and be given a chance to take on the Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator Certification.

Free exam vouchers sponsored by the Linux Foundation each worth  US$ 300 shall be handed to candidates who show they've got what it takes after passing a pre-assessment test to be held on 11th July at 10:00AM.

LFCS is considered as one of the most desired skills for candidates early in their Linux System Administration or Open Source Career.

Morning Session:

Day 1: 8th July 2019: 9:00 - 13:00

Linux Fundamentals. This Session is for first timers starting to use Linux.

Afternoon Session:

Day 1: 14:00 - 18:00

Ansible Tower IT Automation Fundamentals.


Morning Session:

Day 2: 9th July 2019: 9:00 - 13:00

Mastering the Linux Command Line. This Session will continue where we left of on Day 1 in the Morning.

Afternoon Session:

Day 2: 14:00 - 18:00

Working with Kubernetes and Containers.


Morning Session:

Day 3: 10th July 2019: 9:00 - 13:00

Linux System Administration.

Afternoon Session:

Day 3: 14:00 - 18:00

Linux HA -High Availability and Linux Performance Optimization.


Afternoon Session:

Day 4: 11th July 2019: 17:30 - 19:00

Discussion - Hot Topic:
